The rent prices in real estate in Karachi, in the Sindh region have fallen considerably in the last couple of months. There has been a strong fall in the rent prices in this city.
The price per sq.feet in Karachi has had a strong fall during the last 6 months. In October, the average price per sq.feet was Rs. 752. In the following month the price per sq.feet rose considerably to Rs. 1,412. The price for the following two months in (December, January) had a considerable fall of 8 with regard to the previous two months. The price per sq.feet has had a considerable fall of 49 % in the last two months compared to the average price for the previous four months. This was obtained by comparing the first four months of the period going from a price per sq.feet of Rs. 584.25 to Rs. 286 during February, and March.
When referring to the price in Karachi (cities), there have hardly been any changes in the last 6 months. The average price during our first sample month during October, is Rs. 13.38 lakhs. During November the price went through a considerable rise reaching Rs. 35.59 lakhs. During the following two months (December, January) the average price had a considerable fall of 20 % with regard to the previous two months. During the last two months the average price has fallen greatly compared to the previous four going from Rs. 14.64 lakhs to Rs. 10.12 lakhs, which means a 69 % fall.
