The rent prices in real estate in Lahore, in the Punjab region have fallen considerably in the last couple of months. There has been a strong fall in the rent prices in this city.
The price per sq.feet in Lahore has had a strong fall during the last 6 months. In February, the average price per sq.feet was Rs. 1,402.36. In March this price barely changed remaining at Rs. 1,432.22 per sq.feet. The price for the following two months in (April, May) had a considerable fall of 24 with regard to the previous two months. The price per sq.feet has had a considerable fall of 8 % in the last two months compared to the average price for the previous four months. This was obtained by comparing the first four months of the period going from a price per sq.feet of Rs. 879.98 to Rs. 69.59 during June, and July.
When referring to the price in Lahore (cities), this has risen considerably in the last 6 months. The average price during our first sample month during February, is Rs. 57,038. During March the price went through a considerable rise reaching Rs. 66,213. During the following two months (April, May) the average price had a considerable rise of 252 % with regard to the previous two months. During the last two months the average price has fallen greatly compared to the previous four going from Rs. 1.09 lakhs to Rs. 33,359.5, which means a 31 % fall.
