The prices in real estate in Islamabad, in the Islamabad Capital Territory region have had a strong fall in the last couple of months. The real estate prices for second hand homes have gone through a strong fall in this city.
The price per sq.feet in Islamabad has had a strong decrease during the last 6 months. In March, the average price per sq.feet was Rs. 28,256. In the following month the price per sq.feet decreased considerably to Rs. 15,991. The price for the following two months in (May, June) had a considerable decrease of 37 with regard to the prior two months. The price per sq.feet has had a considerable increase of 262 % in the last two months compared to the average price for the previous four months. This was obtained by comparing the first four months of the period going from a price per sq.feet of Rs. 15,116 to Rs. 39,557 during July, and August.
Based upon to the price in Islamabad (cities), this has gone up considerably in the last 6 months. The average price during our first sample month during March, is Rs. 70.87 lakhs. During April the price went through a considerable rise reaching Rs. 98.99 lakhs. In the following two months the average price has remained the same with regard to the previous two months from Rs. 84.93 lakhs to Rs. 82.96 lakhs. Based on an analysis of the first four prices and the last two months the average price has risen strongly 129 % during the last two months.

According to the average cost per sq.feet, the cheapest property type is "Office" at an average cost of Rs. 15,665 / sq.feet followed by "Apartment" priced at Rs. 20,278 / sq.feet. "Land" is the most costly type of property with a Rs. 2.26 lakhs / sq.feet cost followed by "Residential Plot" with an average price of Rs. 1.04 lakhs / sq.feet.
